One garage has figured out the problem that one of electric wire in the tailgate is melt and cause short circuit. The garage has proposed to change the whole tailgate Behind your center console. Adjust that setting to open vents and heat. If the rear passenger area gets hot, then your core is clear and the flaps for the front are not working. If it’s still warm, then your heater core is probably still clogged. gotcha ya, back seat vents seem the same temp.. Make sure the rear defroster switch and the ignition key are turned on. Disconnect both wires from either side of the defroster grid and touch one end of your tester to each wire. My rear windscreen heater has stopped working. The button on the climate control still lights up, but the back windscreen is not clearing. Motor is still under warranty but a real pain to take it in. Has anyone else had this? Could it be a fuse that I can replace myself? Cheers, _____
The switch isnt working - i.e. i cant open glass window separately. I want to remove the fuse in order to stop the potential battery drain until i get a new switch sorted. does anyone know what fuse number it is? I have remove the rear wiper fuse 48 but not sure if that's the same foe the switch? TIA.
