Theage old debate 26 vs 27.5 vs 29 inch wheels. Which is the best wheel size out there? Or heck which is just the best size for you! In this bike quick talk
ProsThese bikes typically weigh less than the 29” and 27.5” bikes due to the smaller forks and wheels that save on weight The smaller wheels on these bikes are

275-inch wheels are much more stable and give a smoother ride than 26-inch wheels. 27.5-inch wheels allow for a lot of flexibility in frame design. Tight angles, low stack heights and smaller sizes are all easier to achieve with 27.5-inch wheels compared to 29-inch wheels. 27.5-inch wheels are strong, stiff and responsive.

Ilove 29ers. I remember feeling amazed the first time I rode one and questioning why I had been stubbornly riding those tiny 26" wheels for so long. But the Simplyput, a 29er offers more speed, efficiency and stability, while a 27.5-inch bike offers a snappier trail feel. So unless you are particularly tall or small then the Theidiocy continues: going from 26 to 27.5/650b IS NOT the same of going from 27.5/650b to 29. The 27.5 size is really 27″ not the advertised 27.5. So there is just 1 cm difference in radius between 26

26vs 29. Odgovor Napisal/-a kingroad » 29 Avg 2014 22:00. Sedaj pa me zanimajo dobre in slabe lastnosti tolikšnih koles da se lažje odločim. Skratka, 29" vs 26" (vs 27,5")

Thedifference between the two is the same as any typical 29er vs 27.5 comparison. The rollover is better on the 29 but the extra width of the 27.5x2.8 allows me to lean over a bit more on the dry loose trails I ride and also punctures less in the rocks. I'd chose the 29er for general trail riding and the 27.5+ for more aggressive riding.

Itis still a popular wheel size for its responsiveness and maneuverability, but now when you walk into a bike shop and inquire about mountain bikes, you are likely to be asked, “26 inch, 27.5 inch or 29 inch?” 27.5 in. (also known as 650b): Compared to 29ers, bikes with 27.5-inch wheels generally feel more playful, quicker to accelerate
Again the wheel size number stated (“29 inches”) referred to an approximation of the diameter of the outside of the tyre, this time fitted with 2.25in tyres (as that was the average tyre width at the time). So 24.5in rim + 4.5in of tyre = 29in. Then the 27.5in (AKA 650b) wheel size came along.

Iwill say I think thick tires make the biggest difference in rollover, going from 2.2 to 2.5 is a gamechanger, just as well 26” is actually a sizable difference compared to either 27.5 or 29, but those generally top out at 2.3” wide anyways so
